The restaurant and bar catering to neighborhood regulars and passersby accessing the northern gateway to the Wisconsin Great River Road dishes up some of the tastiest breakfast around and is winning our hearts one hash-and-egg skillet at a time. Try the loaded hash browns ($9) with a flavor-packed mix of tomatoes, jalapeños and cheddar cheese. It’s topped with two eggs cooked whichever way you like them, a delicious hollandaise and side of toast. It’s worth noting that hours vary, depending on the day of the week. Most days the spot opens in the wee hours of the morning and stays open until 3 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays, the restaurant reopens for dinner at 5 p.m. and closes at 9 p.m. 211 Broad St., Prescott, Wis.; 715-262-2223; thekitchentablewi.com
